Ensuring Safety and Transparency: Methanol Content in Symmetry Lab Parfums: 

At Symmetry Lab Parfums, safety and quality are at the core of everything we create. Fragrance is deeply personal. It becomes part of your daily routine, your mood, and your identity. That is why we take the responsibility behind every bottle with the utmost care.
In light of recent industry-wide discussions regarding methanol content in certain fragrance products, we would like to share clear and transparent information based on independent laboratory testing conducted on our formulations.

Independent Third-Party Testing  

To ensure that our products meet the highest safety standards, we submitted both our raw-material ethyl alcohol and a representative range of our finished perfume scents to internationally recognized laboratories, SGS and Intertek, for detailed methanol analysis.
We are also currently awaiting a third independent result from PIPAC, which will further reinforce our quality assurance process.

What the Results Show  

To provide a complete and accurate assessment, both our raw materials and finished products were tested.

Raw-material ethyl alcohol

• 0.73% methanol (SGS)

• 0.67% methanol (Intertek)

Finished perfume formulations

• 0.12% methanol (SGS)

• 0.18% methanol (Intertek)

These results indicate a trace-level presence of methanol, which can occur as a natural impurity in denatured alcohol.

Importantly, these levels are within acceptable and regulated limits for cosmetic and fragrance applications and are well below thresholds associated with safety risks.
 


Ongoing Quality Assurance  

We are currently in the process of completing our third independent laboratory assessment with PIPAC. Once finalized, we will update this page with a full summary of all results.
